1440px.com started in 2016 as a single page offering a wide grid-system template — PSD, PNG and CSS in 8-, 9- and 12-column variants. Designers used it, articles linked to it, and the files have stayed at the same URLs ever since. They still are, and they always will be.
What changed is what people need. Photoshop grid templates were the bottleneck in 2016; today it is finding a correct number quickly — the CSS viewport of a specific phone, the exact breakpoints a framework ships, what 4:5 is in pixels, what A4 is at 300 DPI. That is what the rest of this site does.
What is here
- Screen sizes for 242 devices — CSS viewport, native resolution, pixel ratio, PPI, safe areas
- Breakpoints for 10 CSS frameworks, taken from their own documentation
- Aspect ratios and display resolutions with exact pixel tables
- Unit conversion between px, rem, em, pt, mm, cm and inches
- Social image sizes, app and icon assets, print dimensions
Who runs it
1440px.com is operated by FUTR UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Lübeck, Germany. The grid templates were made by Sebastian Wiercinski. Full company details are on the imprint page.
